TX Neighborhood Coalition

We are a coalition of TX neighborhoods who are concerned about the dramatic increase of short-term rentals (STRs), e,g., Airbnb, HomeAway, VRBO, etc. that are commercializing our residential communities and damaging homeowners’ property rights.

Our mission is two-fold: (1) Educate the public and local/state politicians on the negative effects of STRs in residential neighborhoods and (2) Oppose state regulations that force STRs on local communities.

Two key questions to consider:

  1. Do you personally want to live next to a short-term vacation rental hotel and potential party house in your residential neighborhood?

  2. Do the property rights of a small number of STR investors and absentee owners take precedence over the property rights of multitudes of homeowners and voters?

Our coalition includes thousands of residents and neighborhoods from such cities as Allen, Arlington, Austin, College Station, Coppell, Flower Mound, Galveston, Grapevine, Lubbock, Marble Falls, New Braunfels, Port Aransas, Southlake, Waco and others.
