Garland

Garland, an inner suburb of Dallas with approximately 250,000 residents, is the thirteenth largest city in Texas. The city has amended its short-term rental ordinances several times in recent years, but STRs are currently allowed in single-family neighborhoods.

It’s well documented that STRs negatively impact neighborhoods, attracting crime, noise violations, and large parties, as well as eroding property values. Garland neighbors have organized to speak out against STR operators who violate city ordinances and to urge the city to consider zoning restrictions on STRs. We’ve formed a coalition chapter and welcome others to join the effort. Please contact the Texas Neighborhood Coalition to put you in touch with us.
