Colleyville

The Colleyville Chapter of the Texas Neighborhood Coalition is dedicated to safeguarding the interests and property rights of residents by strengthening our collective voice on crucial matters. Our primary objective is to actively engage with and influence elected representatives at both the local and state levels. We achieve this by keeping our neighbors informed about significant developments and fostering effective and timely communication channels with elected officials.

The officials we elect to represent us possess invaluable knowledge about the essence and character of our community and its residential neighborhoods. Recent attempts by state legislation to undermine local control in areas such as Short Term Rentals (STR), Accessory Dwelling Units (ADU), and "Mini-lot" bills are an assault on our right as citizens to choose where we reside based on our desired quality of life and to preserve our quality of life through local government is of utmost importance.

While we recognize the necessity for additional housing, we firmly believe that decisions regarding residential zoning are most effectively made by elected representatives who possess an intimate understanding of their communities' needs and are accountable to local voters. We strongly oppose state legislation that aims to override local control of land use and zoning matters.
